Huntingdon Business Fair Round-Up

Huntingdon Business Fair Round-Up

Last month we attended the Huntingdon Business Fair, Huntingdonshire’s biggest and most successful FREE B2B networking event, organised by Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses.

The annual event brings with it an array of businesses from across the county, along with many from Stamford, Wisbech, Newmarket and Bedford, for a day of networking and business promotion.

At Anglia Translations, not only are we members of the Chamber of Commerce but being a Huntingdon based company, this event makes a lot of sense to us as it provides us with the chance to re-connect with existing clients and contacts. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our brand in the Cambridgeshire area.

Having attended the Huntingdon Business Fair for the last three years, we’ve come to realise how many people have a requirement for translation services. Yet many don’t know where to turn to, which is why the Huntingdon Business Fair is a great way for us to raise awareness of who we are and what we can do for businesses.

Key Takeaways

The Huntingdon Business Fair is like a large networking event. One whereby you often have just as meaningful conversations with your fellow exhibitors, as you do with the visitors that pass through.

The quality of leads came from people with a genuine interest, which makes it worthwhile attending.

Mary Gilbey, Managing Director of Anglia Translations explains, “If you measure success in terms of ROI, this event is always a no brainer. It is very affordable, and we have about 7 solid leads to follow up.”

In every year we’ve attended, we have always picked up new clients, which is why we continue to invest in this event. But it provides much more than that. It’s great for exposure to potential clients, suppliers and strategic partners. What’s more, by exhibiting year in year out, it re-affirms our credibility and longevity in the market.

Who should attend?

This event is ideal for all small business who are trying to get exposure in this region. It is low cost, well organised and generally well attended. The seminars are educational (FREE!) and the speed networking is a fun way to promote your business to about 20-30 people in the space of an hour.

We are already looking forward to next years’ event.
