Translation Memory

We use Translation Memory tools to speed up your projects, lower costs, and ensure consistency by reusing your previously translated & approved content. Ideal for ongoing or large-scale work, we also create and maintain multilingual glossaries tailored to your brand and industry for accurate and unified communication.

Technology That Cuts Costs Without Cutting Quality

Want quicker, more consistent translations without paying to re-translate the same content twice? Our Translation Memory tools store and reuse your approved wording, so repeat phrases are flagged for our linguists, speeding up projects, protecting your terminology and reducing your costs over time.

Want quick, consistent translations at reduced costs?

When we work with you, we use Translation Memory – a software application that allows us to store and reuse past translations to identify words, phrases, or sentences for future projects.

How does Translation Memory work?

Translation Memory is essentially a terminology database. The original text and its translation are aligned sentence by sentence and paragraph by paragraph, then stored in the software’s memory.

When a word, phrase, or sentence appears in a future project, the Translation Memory system highlights the previous translation for the translator, who can reuse it, edit it, or reject it. This significantly reduces translation time while ensuring consistency and ultimately saving you money.

For example, if you provide a text of 2,000 words and 1,500 of those have already been translated, you are only charged the full rate for the 500 new words. Terminology databases can then be easily compiled, and glossaries of preferred terms are created, which is particularly useful for ongoing projects.

Our Promise

At Anglia, for long-term clients and projects spread across multiple languages, we establish and maintain a glossary of preferred terminology. This glossary is continually updated and reviewed to ensure it reflects your needs and is used by our translators across all your projects to guarantee consistency and accuracy.
