I speak languages with my T-shirt!

Thinking about your summer holidays to foreign climates? Then you might want to save room in your suitcase for one of these!

Ever up with the latest trends in language learning, the Daily Mail (April 2016) now reports on the latest hi-tech method of communicating in a foreign language – the humble T-shirt!

The brain child of Swiss travellers Florian Nast, George Horn and Stefan Streit, the T-shirt, which comes in a range of attractive colours, enabling wearers to be fashionable as well as linguistically adept, is decorated with 39 easily recognisable symbols.

These encompass the most common situations encountered by travellers wherever they are in the world. There are the most obvious requirements such as hotels, restaurants, directions, banks and the like, but the T-shirt is apparently also able to handle more complex situations, such as if your motorbike breaks down whilst you are in the back of beyond in Vietnam.

So now we can dump the phrase book, abandon the dictionary and simply equip ourselves with a brightly-coloured, icon-covered T-shirt!
